1. Missed-Call Text-Back
When someone calls your business number and you don't pick up, the system fires this sequence automatically. They get a text within seconds.
SMS 1 — fires within seconds of the missed call
Hey, sorry I missed your call! What project can I help you with? Just text me back here and I'll get you a quote. -[Your Name] from [Your Business]
SMS 2 — 5 minutes later
By the way, I do free estimates, just describe what you need and I'll give you a ballpark 👍
SMS 3 — 24 hours later (if no reply)
Hey, just making sure my texts came through, still need help with a project? Just say the word and I'll get you a free estimate 👍 -[Your Name]
2. Quote Form Reply
When someone fills out the quote form on your website, this fires within seconds.
Auto-reply

3. Chat Widget

AI greeting (in chat)
Hi! 👋 Thanks for visiting. What project can I help you with today?
Internal SMS to you (when message captured)
🔔 New website chat from [Customer Name] about [Service]. Phone: [number]. Reply in your app.
4. Review Requests (4 messages over ~4 weeks)
After you add a customer via the Marketing Form (in your app), the system asks them for a Google review. If they tap the review link in any message, the remaining messages stop automatically.
SMS 1 — Week 1 (immediately after Marketing Form submit)
Hey [Customer Name] — it's been about a month since we wrapped up. Hope everything's holding up great!
If you have a minute, a quick Google review would help us out a ton:
[Your Google Review Link]
SMS 2 — Week 2 (if no link click)
Hey [Customer Name] — just checking in. If you had a minute to share a quick Google review, it really helps small businesses like ours grow:

SMS 3 — Day 5 (last attempt)

7. Opt-Out (STOP) — Legal Compliance
Federal law (TCPA / A2P) requires that every automated text channel honor opt-outs. If your customer replies STOP at any point, the carrier automatically removes them from all future messages. This is NOT something Slate decides — it's the phone company's rule.
What the customer types
STOP
What happens after
The customer never receives another automated message from your business number — ever. There is no AI reply, no follow-up. It's silence by design. This protects your sender reputation and keeps your number from getting blocked.
