6 Church, school and your WhatsApp groups
The places where people already trust you. The tone is "telling my community", never "closing sales".
Church, step by step
Ask the church office for a line in the weekly bulletin: "John Ramirez, member of our parish, opened Ramirez Painting. Free estimates. 555-0100". Almost all of them run it free or for a small donation. Honest: the ad by itself brings almost no calls. What brings work is people seeing you take part. If they charge you hundreds a year for the line, say no.
Ask if you can leave cards on the coffee table after the service.
Tell five people in person every Sunday, with 6 job photos ready on your phone.
Church is a transfer of trust. The people who hire you there recommend you harder than anybody, because it makes them look good. One warning: on church jobs, over deliver. The same network that feeds you can shut the tap overnight.
The school gate
Every parent in your kid's class has a house or has a landlord. And every class has its own chat. Ask a parent you know to add you, post ONE time and be clear, and from then on just help when house questions come up. Sponsoring the team shirt costs $150 to $300 and puts your name in front of the same 40 families every Saturday.
The town and hometown WhatsApp groups

Asking permission is what separates you from spam. Then ONE post: a before and after photo, one line about what you do and where, and your number. One post with permission brings messages in two days. Without permission it brings a block.
